Fast Forward India was born after an intense discussion over several weeks between Durga Prasad Pandey,
Jitendra Mohan and Shulabh Gupta. Initial idea was to make engineering students more productive during their stay in college and help them gain some leadership skills. With more brainstorming, FFI with its current vision of helping the community through motivated college students came into shape.

Durga P Pandey is a member of the technical staff at a Silicon Valley startup, and has a keen interest in development initiatives that have deep and wide-ranging impact on people's lives. He is a recent graduate of the MIT Media Lab. He was a Reuters Digital Vision Fellow at Stanford University (2004-2005) researching issues involved in educating underprivileged children in India. Before coming to Stanford, he received a BS from Indian School of Mines, and has been a research scientist, management consulting intern, and computer instructor to children and housewives in a rural computer literacy program. Durga has served on the editorial boards of several student magazines, and writes short stories and poetry. (dpsmiles at mit dot edu)

Jitendra Mohan Jha is working with Chevron Corp, a global energy company, as a reservoir engineer. He also volunteers for Pratham, a community based grassroots organization that promotes education of slum dwelling children in India. He received an MS from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BS from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, both in Petroleum Engineering. He was a University of Texas Fellow (2003-2004) and was also awarded the ConocoPhilips Fellowship for outstanding academic achievement in graduate school. Jitendra is also an avid blogger. Shulabh Gupta is a Doctoral student researcher at Ecole Polytechnique, Universite de Montréal, Canada. He has worked on ultrafast photonic technologies for next generation communication systems, and is now working on new optical and microwave Metamaterials. Shulabh received a B.Tech in electronic engineering from Indian School of Mines. He has given various technical talks in US and Canada on optical signal processing. Shulabh was an organizer of various technical events in college, and finds immense value in working for social awareness issues and was also involved as a Computer and Internet instructor for the elderly with the the Yellow Door project. Priyank Nandan is a Consultant with Capgemini Telecom, Media and Entertainment Consulting Practice. He has a keen interest in social initiatives and has been involved in various capacities, both volunteer and leadership, with several non-profits. He served FFI as Vice-President Operations from April 2006 to June 2008. During his stint, he was instrumental in building and driving a team of volunteers and creating a platform for FFI projects to kick off. Priyank helped get FFI registered as an NGO in 2008. Ashutosh Dubey is working with Amdocs Development Centre India as a developer. He is associated with FFI since its inception and has lead the ground operations of FFI since April,2006.An enthusiasticleader, Ashutosh has recently been appointed as the President of FFI and he hopes to carry forward the momentum of the organisation to new levels.(ashutosh@fastforwardindia.org)
